FLEET MECHANICS
Advanced Transmissions: This two day program focuses on the manual and automatic transmissions that are representative of the applications found on fleet vehicles. While the function and operation of these units is thoroughly covered, the emphasis is placed on diagnosing malfunctions and failures.
Aerial Equipment Safety Maintenance: This course is a minimum of 24 hours with a maximum of 8 attendees. Maintenance personnel with limited or no hydraulics background are not to be included in this class.
Air Bag Systems: This course is designed for anyone servicing vehicles with air bags including supervisors, mechanics, and collision repair technicians.
Ford Fuel Injection, Diagnostics, and ABS Brakes: This program is designed strictly as a three-day course for the Ford automobiles. We can also do a similar class on GM and Chrysler products
Lubrication Mobile Equipment: The purpose of this program is to provide personnel with the understanding of lubricants and systems.
Marine Hydraulics: This course is designed to enhance the technical expertise of maintenance personnel, technicians, operators and others that are associated with equipment maintenance.
Mobile Equipment and Aerial Device Hydraulics: Flow/pressure relationship and theory, fluids, contamination/filtration, pumps, flow control and check valves, pressure control and directional valves, hydrostatic drives. Schematics and troubleshooting, symbols and circuit identification. 24-40 hours.
Scan Tool Diagnosis for Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmissions:Basics and terminology. How computers communicate. Troubleshooting a "down" system, diagnosis. Pathfinder/troubleshooter use for Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler applications. 8 hours.
Welding and Metallurgy: Customized to needs, existing skills. Can include Level C, B, A Classification - Oxy-Fuel cutting, gas and braze welding, blueprint reading, math, material handling, codes, standards and specs. Welding Metallurgy 1, 2, 3. Carbon arc gouging, QC and inspection. Various materials, fusion. Client specific instruction.
Servo & Proportional Valves: Servo and proportional valves are complex both in design and function. Without an understanding of these valves, troubleshooting can be an expensive and time consuming fact of life.
